Yeah this is one of the better EWAF...better sound quality and not a bad mix with Chicargo......have purchased another EWAF dvd and this one tops my 1st choice.......br /Good purchase.....Eps.
 Great Concert for those that remember! October 20, 2008
Just what we need, another bunch of aging rockers from the 60's and 70's trying to cash in on the nostalgia boom. Well, that's what it seems on the surface. Delve a little deeper and spend some time with this Blu-ray DVD and you'll discover a musical excellence that transcends time and generational change. Both groups have an infusion of youth (not surprising as some of the original members have gone to that great concert in the sky) but maintain the original sound albiet with much greater fidelity than was originally possible with 70's audio technology. br /There are two reasons to buy this Blu-ray DVD, firstly the picture and sound quality are almost reference level (I own a HiFi store and use it for demo and system set ups), secondly the musical performance is just brilliant with band members of both groups interchanging and singing each others songs. The only reason I gave 4 stars is that there are some lulls in the performance although judicious use of the remote can soon dispatch them.br /All in all this is a disk that anyone with a musical bent and good audio/video system should consider adding to their collection. Regardless of musical taste, you won't be disappointed.
Chicago and Earth Wind Fire: Live at the Greek October 16, 2008
Energetic performances and superb pacing by Chicago and Earth Wind Fire, enhanced by first rate Blu-Ray sound and picture add up to one of the greatest home video concerts ever made!br /br /An absolute must for your collection! You'll feel like your sitting right in the audience in the Greek Theater on a warm summer evening. Let me correct that. You'll be up on your feet like everybody else in the audience!
Two for the price of one! September 8, 2008
I bought this DVD mainly to listen and view my Chicago favorites. They open the show with EWF and start off with Beginnings which has been one of my all time favorite Chicago songs if not the all time favorite. It almost goes downhill after that. I would have not chosen to open the show with that song. That one should have been at the end or on one of the encores. Nonetheless, they play a couple of other songs together than they break off. EWF gets to play first and then Chicago takes the stage and then they join together again as in the beginning. Earth Wind and Fire steal the show and they are tighter musically. Chicago sounds good but not as great as they can be. Overall I would give them an A-, EWF an A+, and together an A. I would recommend this disc if you're a hard core Chicago or Earth, Wind, and Fire fan. br /'
Earth, Wind, and Fire on Fire! August 18, 2008
Don't buy this for the Chicago set. Its ok, but lacks the brilliant Peter Cetera vocals. Earth, Wind, and Fire is the reason to buy and listen to this. The music and vocals are great and sound the same as they did 30 years ago. Way of the World is beautiful and they play all the favorites. One of the best music DVD's I own strictly for EWF.
