4 out of 5 stars Pretty good product   November 17, 2008
Backpack seems to be pretty strongly built. It is also versatile, with a lot of pockets. However, not all 17 inch laptops fit, such as DELL widescreen..

3 out of 5 stars Lower endof the line..no thrills   November 16, 2008
While this is a decent laptop backpack for light use, it's not up to par with the larger Maxxum Backpack.

The traps are not "shock" elasticized, nor does it have the cushioning that the maxxum has. I returned the pack because while the photo looks black, I received one with grey panels..

I was hoping to find a smaller laptop backpack with the same features/construction as the Maxxum....I guess I will have to keep looking..

5 out of 5 stars Swiss Gear Laptop   November 4, 2008
This worked out great for me. I have a 15" laptop but wanted the extra space so got this larger size. Organizer section works well and lots of room for work files, newspapers etc. Very comfortable to wear with nice padding. Nice price too. very pleased with the purchase.

3 out of 5 stars Well-built backpack, but doesn't fit all 17" computers   November 3, 2008
I bought this backpack for the sole purpose of carrying my laptop on business trips that I take often. Initially it struck me as a great backpack for travel with plenty of pockets and an overall durable structure that Swiss Gear is well-known for. The external earphone jack for an MP3 player looked like a cool feature as well. But when I tried to put my 17" Dell Inspiron computer into the computer compartment, I found it was too wide to fit. There was no way it was getting in. So I returned this backpack to Amazon, and instead bought the Pegasus by Swiss Gear. The Pegasus has an elastic band in the notebook compartment that allows it to expand to accomodate the wider 17" computers. Overall, I would recommend the wired backpack if you don't feel your computer is too thick to fit (most Dells are thicker than their counterparts). Otherwise, go with the Pegasus or something similar.
