Nice scientific toy and show-piece April 8, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this one last year, and took it to India as a gift for my teenage niece, and the whole family was quite impressed by this, including myself, when I first found this. I and they compared the displayed temperature with the other thermometers and it was accurate.br /br /The only thing is that sphere move very very slowly even if the temperature change is drastic - so, not any movement of spheres to watch and admire. I had moved it from outside in Minnesota winters to inside 70F, and the spheres movement was very very slow, though eventually it showed the correct temperature.
Great! December 28, 2007 I was reluctant to order such a fragile project, but the thermometer came in perfect condition. The colors are bright, and it's working great so far!
Very Nice June 29, 2007 I bought this item for my husband for his birthday and he loves it! It is the perfect size! At first I was worried because the box it had been shipped in was dented on one side (probably in spite of the bright orange "FRAGILE" stickers) but it was fine when I opened it. What was weird is that the inner box had a picture of the thermometer and the bulb colors were all red... but inside they are different colored. At least it works well!!! :o)
Broken and had to replace April 11, 2007 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I had Broken my roommates Galileo Thermometer. I look ever where to find one and couldn't. Amazon was the first to have anything close. I ordered this one cause it looked the most like her old one. We then got it in the mail and it was dead on.
Packing Service March 8, 2007 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
The packageing of this item was very poor . The item was broken upon delivery . After returning it , and ordering another one , it was also broken upon receveing it . A third delivery was requested and it was intact .
