No, this isn't plucking Tennessee country. But I find his island themed cd's relaxing and insightful. It seems to be where his soul is, and he's an artist, not a slave to some fans' preferences or his past. br /I label this album best country cd of the year with Brad Paisley's "Play".br /Paul
His Best Yet... December 16, 2008
This latest "Lucky Old Sun" is fantastic. I loved Poets and Pirates, but you can tell that this latestCD was truly written from the heart. It has a couple upbeat tunes to laugh at and enjoy, but most is just "warm and fuzzy".. The words to his songs really hit home more times than not, and it's just an enjoyable piece of work by Kenny. Can't wait for the next.

Love this collection of music! It rescues the listener from the rush of every day and helps one escape to laid back life. There is truth in these lyrics - stories behind the songs that have shaped this artist along with his evolving music. And, while it is a continuation of the melodies we love from the "Be As You Are" CD, there are a couple of "traditional" tunes to satisfy the core country fan such as "Down the Road" - you can't help but laugh at the catchy tune "Ten With A Two". The song "Lucky Old Sun" is like a lullaby and is a fitting finish to this very "real" music. It is NOT a country collection, but a reflection of an artist that is truly comfortable in his skin. I'm looking forward to hearing more of the same as he puts his unique stamp on the music industry.
