 Absolutely magnificent December 30, 2008
I don't know how many times I've bought Elvis' Christmas EPs, LPs and br /CDs but there's always something new about it. From his classic 1957 br /LP we have 7 songs that have been re-recorded by many of the original crew + the today's female CW stars. The music, although sounding br /exactly as back in '57, is so fresh that it really sounds like if br /the king were singing and recording them today. Sometimes today's br /technology should even convince the "purists" of the way this whole br /project has been presented. There's nothing wrong with having the br /original Elvis recordings mixed with today's country stars and br /above all enhance the original music. A brilliant result!

This CD is horrible. Not only do I think so, but several of my friends and co-workers do as well. The selected duet tracks to 'mix' with Elvis' original tracks were poorly chosen and poorly mixed...several sounded like they didn't go together at all. Rarely does a mixing of a deceased artist's tracks with a 'newer' artists' tracks go well. If you want good duets...they need to be recorded in a studio with both artists present.
A New Christmas Classic December 29, 2008
I really have enjoyed listening to the new Elvis Christmas CD, Elvis Presley Christmas Duets, this holiday season. I always enjoy listening to his Christmas albums, and I feel that this one will be a Christmas classic too. Listening to each song, I feel he is really singing along with the ladies who are on this album.

I am a huge Elvis fan and I loved this compliation of Elvis Christmas songs. The fact that the technology of today was able to pair Elvis with some awesome female singers is just unfathomable! I understand that Elvis singing a duet (with few execptions) would not have been possible when he was living as the Colonel would not allow it. So it's all the more amazing that it was possible 31 years after he left us. I particularly love "Blue Christmas" with Martina McBride. I wasn't thrilled with "Merry Christmas Baby" with Gretchen Wilson.

I first heard this cd advertised on tv. I like Elvis and the country artists that were advertised in the cd, so I went to amazon to purchase it. I am here to tell you that I was not disappointed at all. It is amazing hearing the country artists sing along side of Elvis. I am pleased to add this to my christmas collection of music. Elvis lovers, this is a must for you !!!!
