The Stars Are Down July 25, 2007
Fire-y rock soars on powerful female vocals. Jakarta Skyscraper sound like a mixture of Love, Opal and Mecca Normal. This album has the intimate feel of travelling on a bus down Indonesian dirt roads with sounds of garage rock seguing into asian flutes and jazz riffs. An interesting journey through folksy rock that sometimes get dusty and fuzzy. A great ride for anyone who likes to travel back roads that wind up at dark punk rock clubs.
